What direct co-use evidence exists
An eight-week SAMe augmentation study listed one patient taking mirtazapine among its mixed antidepressant group. It did not report that patient’s individual response or adverse effects.
The overall results do not settle this pair
Depression scores improved in the group, and constipation and nausea were common reported effects. Without a control group or a mirtazapine subgroup, the study cannot establish your benefit or interaction risk.

Recognize concerning symptoms
