A small diabetes trial found lower glucose
A ten-week trial tested two grams of ginger powder daily alongside usual oral diabetes treatment and reported better fasting glucose and HbA1c. It did not identify glimepiride exposure, so it cannot establish an interaction with this particular medicine.
Another population had no glucose change
An older study in coronary-artery-disease patients found no glucose change during longer-term powder use. Its separate platelet experiment answers a different question. Neither result can be converted into a glimepiride-specific risk estimate.
The study schedule is not a safety interval
Taking capsules before meals in a trial does not prove that a given separation from glimepiride prevents an interaction. Keep glimepiride with the prescribed meal. A supplement’s study dose is not a recommendation for your own treatment.
