The precaution is broader than one drug

NIH’s chromium guidance warns of possible additive glucose lowering with diabetes medicines. Glyburide itself can cause serious lows, making this a reasonable conditional precaution.

The clinical trial used glipizide

A chromium-picolinate trial improved insulin sensitivity and glucose control during glipizide treatment. It did not use glyburide or establish a glyburide-specific hypoglycemia rate.

Glyburide already has a hypoglycemia risk
