What the evidence shows
A short study in healthy men found no additional measured bleeding-time or platelet effect when a defined ginkgo extract was added to aspirin. This is useful counterevidence, but it did not test this NSAID or patients with a history of GI bleeding.
Consider this medicine’s own effects
Nabumetone is converted in the body to an active metabolite called 6MNA. Its label reports little platelet effect and no bleeding-time change in a short study using 1000 mg daily, but serious GI bleeding and ulcer warnings remain. This profile differs from other NSAIDs and does not prove either safety or harm from a particular supplement.
