In a randomized crossover trial, 24 stable warfarin outpatients received CoQ10, ginkgo and placebo during separate periods; 21 completed the study. Four weeks of CoQ10 at 100 mg/day did not significantly change the average warfarin dose needed to maintain INR. Conversely, a 171-patient observational study associated CoQ10 use with more self-reported bleeding. Product use was not randomized, and residual confounding is possible.
